Moode Player Help

hey, hi, I was trying to find some info on how to ssh Moode in order to make the current 2.6 version automatically update.
Are there any instructions available on how to do this ?

And has the standard Moode password changed ?

I used ssh root@ip-number-here
passw. "moode"

but couldn't get in

There's been some changes. ssh username is now "pi" and password is "raspberry". I've also found that the IP address changes between each reboot, so do this instead:

ssh pi@moode

Hi,

Below are instructions for downloading and installing the new in-place software updater for Moode 2.6.

Download and install updater.sh via ssh

1) cd ~/
2) sudo wget -q "http://moodeaudio.org/downloads/updater.sh.zip" -O updater.sh.zip
3) sudo unzip -q -o updater.sh.zip
4) sudo mv updater.sh /var/www/command
5) sudo rm updater.sh.zip

Run Updater for first time. This will install the latest fixes and updates for Moode 2.6, one of which is the UI version of Updater on System config screen :-)

1) sudo /var/www/command/updater.sh r26
2) sudo reboot

NOTE 1: one of the updates will revert the theme color on the Playback panel to the default Emerald. To correct this, toggle to another theme color then back to your favorite color, then refresh the screen.

NOTE 2: if u want to see how the UI version of Updater works then delete /var/www/update-r26.txt file, open System config page and click "CHECK for software update", then VIEW to examine the content of the update and then INSTALL :-)

NOTE 3: Updates cannot be undone since there is no rollback mechanism in this initial version of Updater. Updates in a package are repeatable i.e., the package can be reinstalled.

Below is the list of fixes and updates contained in the initial package.

NEW: In-place software updater
UPD: Improve watchdog monitoring to include MPD restart
UPD: Change MPD socket connection to use debugLog()
FIX: Remove circular symlinks in /mnt for NAS and SDCARD
FIX: Playback panel toolbar not visible on iPad Mini

I think I mentioned before that in 2.6 I'm unable to copy files to a USB drive. I have one mounted as /media/PI-MUSIC. The problem is a permissions issue: when it's mounted (which happens at boot time), the owner is root. Is there a way to change this to being owned by the "pi" user when mounted? That ought to resolve the issue.

I'll investigate. You are using OS X correct?

What happens when u connect directly to the share using Finder, Go, Connect to server... ?

Actually I was connecting using WinSCP from a windows machine....also a problem if I try to use Cyberduck on the Mac to SFTP/SSH a file across to the USB device.

Tim, did you ever find a reason why my hdd(usb) wont accept any more music using 2.6... message says usb drive is full to capacity. yet it still works fine on 2.5. Ive been unable to use 2.6 because of this.
