Just read through all this thread and I'm going to order one of the interconnects for my Dac, probably the Gaia model, will drop them a line to see which is best for me

One thing my Dac has a ground on the back is it best to get a lead that allows me to connect to this ?

Hi Lee, if your preamp has an earth connection then get a Yannis ConnectLitz with flying earths both ends and earth the DAC to it. Otherwise, use a separate earth wire to earth the DAC directly to mains or house earth. Watch out for any hum, which would indicate that the DAC is already earthed through its mains connection.

    Hi Martin

The amplifier does not have any earthing facility, its only the Dac. I think I will get just a straight forward interconnect without the earthing lead

    Cheers

Yup, makes sense. You only really need the earth leads in turntable applications.

    Hi Marco,

Any possible insight/idea as to how an upgraded 428 (Furutech/Eichmann or WBT) might fare against a standard 423.5?
    Cheers

How about an upgraded 423.5, you might prefer it?
