    I'm Andrei.

    Default Denon DL110

Just taken possession of my SL1210. I've plonked on a DL110. Does anyone know how long these critters take to run in?

You will probably find that it takes about 100 hrs for it to be at its absolute best. Don't get stressed by that as it gets better in stages as the Diamond tip wears in by very tiny amounts. The cartridge will probably be 90% cooked after about 20 hrs.

Not sure of hours but the things I often get with a new cartridge are a whispy and thin sound. An overall lack of ease and weight. Usually takes two or three weeks to ease off IME though and it does keep going better.

Just think of all the good times ahead: Cartridges last ages and a new one is a real pleasure because you have no concerns over previous use. Hope you enjoy it
