    Hi Peter!

I´m sure you´ve seen this local offer ?

    http://www.hifi4all.dk/ksb/Annonce.asp?id=238468

    I´m using a W4S Dac1 with the PSU factory modded from the DAC2, as I don´t need the pre-amp function - it´s a fantastic piece of kit.

    Crazy huh

I got no idea what the differences are between regular and super, as I bought mine souped up already.

But I guess more filtering, lower ESR and Schottky bridges can´t hurt - especially for the 150 bucks or whatever I paid om top.

Have you heard a W4S DAC before or are you taking a shot ?

Clint Hartman of W4S is a pleasure to deal with btw !

    Totally!! Believe me, freaking nutjob!

I haven't heard any - a good hififreind of mine, have the same 'ears' as me, and he said it were a blast to listen to, so yeah, more or less betting on it. On the other hand, no one has any crap to spill about it. That's a good thing in my mind.

Lot´s of nut jobs in this hobby

I´ve replied to your message with a PM, we probably share at least partial taste in sound then. My current gear is listed in my profile and I listen to everything, but R&B, Dance and shit..

I paid 1250 USD with upgrade and shipping to Europe. Luckily no customs or tax on top. That equals some 775 Sterling.

Locally I believe Item Audio sells W4S and can help with a loaner if that's your fancy.
