Martin, there's video of Comfortably Numb, with Dave from the 12/05 O2 show up on Roger's website at the moment - and his Facebook page apparently. Whets the appetite for a full DVD or Bluray release (apparently one of Rog's German shows was filmed for release, I assume that the bits of the O2 show that were filmed - only Comfortably Numb and Outside The Wall were - will likely as not end up as bonuses on that.

There's also some footage and commentary on the BBC News site. I look forward to the Blu-ray. Seems we were very lucky and Gilmour will not be appearing at other shows.

You were very lucky Martin, Gilmour was only ever going to do one night. My best friend managed to catch it too, so I am very pleased for him indeed - he needs some good luck at the moment. I went with him again last night and to be honest, I'm a little lost for words I have been going to concerts for 38 years and I have never seen anything like that - absolute total audio/visual overload and by some significant margin, the best concert I have been too

The quality of the sound was exceptional, the HD video on The Wall was at times mesmerising and the whole experience was overwhelming. I'm not a massive Wall fan either, as DSOTM is my all time favourite Floyd, but Roger's masterpiece work was presented in a way last night that will go down in rock history, just as the original Wall did in 1980 - truly exceptional in every way..... I'm astonished and I truly was comfortably numb last night!

    Good job Roger

Glad you enjoyed it, Tim. Having seen the original Wall concert thirty years ago, I can say that this one was better because of better sound and far better visuals. However, I do miss Rick

Chris, it was every bit that. While I didn't blub, I did feel a huge sense of occasion, backed by having last seen them thirty years ago and the almost certain knowledge that I will never see them live again.

Tim - I agree that The Wall is not musically the best PF album, in fact I prefer almost any of their others but especially Meddle, DSOTM, Wish, Animals. Wish still seems so fresh even though it came out when I was still at school (and was first broadcast on Nicky Horne's Your Mother Wouldn't Like It on Capital Radio).

There wasn't any blubbing round me either, though there were a lot of very big grins. I must admit I was sad that Rick couldn't be there. He was always my favourite Floyd.

That'll be an official pink floyd gig, then! Well, for the moments they were all on stage together.

Nick's appearance was more of a cameo, but it was good to see them together and Roger's self deprecating banter showed a pleasant rapprochement. Would it be too much to hope that maybe they'll play together again?
