Cheap wine is always poor value for money. The bottling costs; duty; VAT; labelling; corks, stoppers or caps; shipping and storage are almost the same, regardless of end price.
So for example, in a £6 bottle of wine the contents are only worth about 50p. Whereas with a £15 bottle of wine, the contents are worth around £3.
Barry
All valid points... What did you have for dinner last night, Barry?

3.2g of sugar per 100ml. I bought it for my partner as she likes it, as she does the White Zinfandel (3.9g per 100ml). I also bought a bottle of their Pink Moscato, which has an even higher sugar content: 6.2g per 100ml! Think I'll give that one a miss.
So yes, more sugar than a typical Malbec (about 1g per 100ml) and considerably more than my preferred choice of a decent Chablis (0.1g per 100ml).
Cheers!
Barry
