I have a DC blocker, shall I bring it along?
I love Hendrix for so many reasons. He was so much more than just a blues guitarist - he played damn well any kind of guitar he wanted. In fact I'm not sure if he even played the guitar - he played music. - Stevie Ray Vaughan

Thanks to everyone who travelled many miles and made some great noise. I hope that you all had a safe journey home and reached your destinations safe and sound. Thank you to Ian Humberston who accommodated NEBO yesterday and all of the most recent occasions too.

No pics from me, sorry, - it was a good day though, - thanks to Steve. Thanks also to Alan (firebottle) for setting up my Ariston. A new phono stage recommended already ordered. A bit odd that some sloped-off for a curry early-evening, - I packed-up my kit a bit earlier than I might have done. Thanks for the compliments about it though.

    Barringtons LAV Dac and DDC

    Dynaudio (?model?) 10 floorstanders

Not a Monarchy Audio but a Neurochrome 286 in disguise, case is large enough for a decent linear PSU.

    Mike's (I think) Thorens TT

The amazing Arke Audio Solo speakers

My TT with Lyra Clavis cartridge

My Bigbottle BT2 preamp and rather fabulous Sota Pyxi MC/MM phonostage

Testing out the modified Quad 33/303 package. Underneath is the Holo Audio Spring3 Dac and the pro preamp used to drive the pro speakers (last picture)

    General view of the setup

Mike's tower of power pro speakers. The projection was something else

Well done, Alan - good pics!

Anyone fancy doing a little write up of what went on?

I wasn't in a position time wise to add text when I posted the pics unfortunately.
I have now added text to the post with the pictures.

I set out from Tipton early and it took a little less time than I expected. I arrived first and set up my system, I really wanted others to hear what I had achieved with it.

The real stars are the Arke Audio Solo stand mounts, the performance in the big room was very impressive.
The bass had to be heard to be believed coming from stand mounted speakers.

In reality the bar had been set very high to start the proceedings and this was commented on.
As can be seen from the pictures various kit was swapped in and out, including an Ariston TT that I set up for one of the crew, not pictured.

My stomach was demanding food later on so four of us went to the curry house below the Best Western Hotel which was a short walk away.
When we got back a lot of the attendees had gone unfortunately, my bad i think.
I love Hendrix for so many reasons. He was so much more than just a blues guitarist - he played damn well any kind of guitar he wanted. In fact I'm not sure if he even played the guitar - he played music. - Stevie Ray Vaughan
