I also use semi. No issues achieving a tight foam.
I have also used barrista style oat milk, which worked well.
I do agree that full fat is the gold standard though.

No worries, mate. I'd do that, as you might be surprised at the difference. It's not as if you're having 20 lattes a day, so any increase in fat intake will be minimal.
We get our (whole) milk delivered direct from a local dairy [ https://edwardsdairies.com/ ] and it's lovely and creamy - perfect for lattes and cappuccinos

There was a change of ownership a few years ago but the ice cream recipe was part of deal, seems to be quite busy with breakfasts as well. Used to get sent every Sunday for ice cream.It was top-notch when I was there - good to see that standards are being maintained!
