60 day return period Martin,
So open minded about what they'll do.
Know the equipment footers did the business, and these things get good reviews.
Shall see.![]()
Ok with not having it on Betamax nowadays
Just relating my own experience - different speakers, different room. Both things play some part.
Having said that even if there had been a miraculous transformation the price was just too steep. I mean, do they have to come in a fancy foam-lined carry case? Can't they just put them in a carrier bag? I'd have looked for a cheaper alternative. But I am a cheapskate![]()

Gaz, have you considered the IsoAcoustics Gaia? They get good reviews and would come in a bit cheaper. Though I suppose it makes sense to stick with the same brand throughout.

I see no reason why Gary's new footers should not work well with his speakers. He has already found them to provide an improvement when fitted to the items sitting on his equipment shelves; but then, IMO, the use of glass for the shelving is asking for trouble.
I'm a bit of a sceptic in these matters. My gear is just stacked atop an LP rack, and the sheer weight of the whole sits on thick carpet covering the floorboards. But as they say "horses for courses".
Barry
Why would glass shelves be asking for trouble? Genuine question, as my shelves are glass. Is it to do with microphony and airborne vibration? My shelves are quite close to the speakers but well out of the 'firing line'.

Well it is "IMO". I know glass shelves are often used in equipment racks, but I feel they have less dampening to vibrations than say wood. I can't quote any figures, but do you know of any bells made of wood? Or of any speaker enclosures made of glass?
Barry
A wooden bell wooden work...
Here's some glass speakers:

Fair point. And knowing that Gaz's kit is sitting on glass shelves, the improvement he's hearing might be supporting that idea, forgive the pun.
