Question WTD: Onkyo ND-S1 / S1000 or Similar iPod Classic dock

    Hi All,

    Hope someone can help ...

I am looking for a quality dock for my iPod Classic with digital out to be connected to an external DAC.

The Onkyo ND-S1 or ND-S1000 seem to be suitable due to the Optical & Coaxial audio output + the option to connect via USD but there are alternatives (Teac, ...).

Note: I do not need a unit with an internal DAC.

    Thanks in advance.

Funny you mention it as I found something like that in one of my under bed boxes a few years ago. I could see if it's still there if you like. I think it was by Cambridge Audio though if that's any good.

I’m sure my ‘reserve dock’ is an S1. I’ll look over the w/end.
After I look up what an East Sound CD-E5 is!

A Solovox I know, having had Ocellias for a decade or so-now gone.
