I was in Dunbar by the way for a wedding, stayed two nights at a very nice hotel. Froze me bits off at the wedding held in a ruined church but reception was enjoyable.

I assumed it must be somewhere abroad as the little shelter isn't vandalised or covered in graffiti, there's no litter blowing about and the bin by the blue sign isn't stuffed to overflowing.

    Those trees look foreign, too.

You get those foreign-looking trees in the south west too. Have done for a long time, they didn't all come over on small boats. Take your point about the litter, but not necessarily the graffiti - we have some serious competition abroad:

You're right - presumably they were planted years ago when foreign holidays were expensive to give holidaymakers the vague feeling that they were actually somewhere exotic, instead of a guest house in Bogner or Dawlish where you had to be back by ten o'clock as that's when they locked the doors.

My two favourite bits of graffiti:

On the wall of a bookshop - 'Books are wank.'

On the side of a church - 'Jesus is wank.'

Presumably by the same author. Banksy, eat yer heart out.
