Was a bit "trigger happy" on the old mouse button last night..soon as I saw a Slimic II cap available I bought one.
Might have been better to have found out what it did first eh?
Heres hoping my order can be cancelled!
Oh, Martin?
Is it you thats using the 16V linear Teddyregs based PSU?
Could you tell me a bit about that, improvements cost availablility etc?

At least you'll be sure that your switch logic will have a very nice bounce
Regarding the SuperTeddy regulator (better than the Teddy), yes I'm running it at exactly 16V into the Caiman and I love the result. It's not too difficult a project but it ended up fairly pricy - $59 for the regulator and about £50 for the transformer and other bits. You can order the regulator fully built and I would recommend it as there are surface mount components involved. It was an interesting diversion and well worth it but the 15V Caiman PSU is no slouch so only go down this route if you want the last nth of performance.

Stan, can you make do with 6 AD826's ? If so then Hamish can have the "last" 2 I have. If anyone else wants to do the next "round" then like Stan suggested Farnell are much cheaper in batches of 10 and that also reaches their min £20 order level - work out about £3 each in VAT.
Sure. 6 will be just fine.
