Default 1m Oyaide EE F-S 2.0 Mains Cable with Furutech FI-1363 (G) Plug and Wattgate IEC

Selling my 1m Oyaide EE F-S 2.0 Mains Cable with Furutech FI-1363 (G) Mains Plug and Wattgate Clear Cryo IEC.

This cable was*used by MCRU at one point (as far as I know) for his Ultimate mains cable. I bought this off the reel*and made it myself.

It's a very good cable competing with cables of £500 or more, very stiff though but does bend with manipulation as it was designed as an in-wall mains cable rather than a power cable. It just happens to make excellent power cables though.

The Furutech plug has one screw that suffers from being over tightened. Frankly I think the build quality of Furutech is poor but they sound good.

This cable is very stiff and I would NOT advise opening the mains plug to change fuses or clean inside as it is a pain to get it back together again. This is best used for someone who wants*an excellent pound to performance mains cable that is a fit and forget solution.

The screws that hold the 2 halves of the plug together are f#+=ing ridiculous. I have two brand new NCF Furutech plugs that weren't over tightened, they just had no purchase and kept on turning. Their plugs are sublime as far as sound quality goes but they need to do something about the quality of the plastic that the screws connect to.
I'm not alone in this neither, I know a few people who think the same. A small fault, but at the asking price, it shouldn't be there.
Stunning cable, by the way, will handle the current for any mains block, power amp or even source components.

I should add, so not to put off buyers that the problem has no effect on sound quality. It's simply the screws that connect the two halves together and this is a nice tight fit anyway. Also the cable clamp is really solid, securing the two halves even more.
    Cheers

Sadly I totally agree with you. The build quality is poor on Furutech's mains plugs for the premium price paid. They sound good though
