    Couldn't have put it better myself Martin. I have only seen this one once before (I still haven't started it yet!) and wanted to refresh my recollection, it will be even more interesting to critique it again now.... and I'm going to start it now.

    Agreed, the TV series was far better than the film.

    Well having watched it again I have to agree, I like it for what it is as a concept, but the execution is poor in this film. I don't care for Martin Freeman's style, either in this, or The Office. Still enjoyable though for Marvin as I'm a Rickman fan and I also really like Bill Nighy. The whole thing fells a little contrived TBH, they almost tried too hard.

    Going to seek out the TV series as I have not seen that for years.

    Although not strictly AV, I fondly remember the Radio series which started the whole THHGTTG ball rolling, which I religiously glued myself to the radio to hear each and every episode... Seem to recollect the voice of Peter Jones as the narrator/book.
