Once Upon a Time in the West, 1968.
Although it wasnt particularly liked by critics at the time it went on to be rated one of the best ever films(which i would concur) it was released in a Paris cinema and ran for 2 years consecutively, almost driving the projectionist mad.

The Front Page is a 1931 American pre-Code comedy-drama film directed by Lewis Milestone and starring Adolphe Menjou and Pat O'Brien. Based on a 1928 Broadway play of the same name by Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur, the film was produced by Howard Hughes, written by Bartlett Cormack and Charles Lederer, and distributed by United Artists. The supporting cast includes Mary Brian, George E. Stone, Matt Moore, Edward Everett Horton and Walter Catlett. At the 4th Academy Awards, the film was nominated for Best Picture, Milestone for Best Director, and Menjou for Best Actor.
The recent Criterion release which was restored by the Lucas foundation.

I Start Counting, 1970. Directed by David Greene and starring Jenny Agutter and Bryan Marshall. This is the BFI version of the film on Bluray disc. Its a better picture and has a good 1 channel monoural audio track. Colour has had a slight shift too which helps.

Some heavy duty stiff upperlipidness now in the Coldiz Story from 1955... 2nd world war pow escape film, and mostly true as well.
Starring John Mills, Lionel Jeffries and Eric Portman and directed by Guy Hamilton.
The film did well here in UK and was 4th best visited in the year, but like most British films of this type, flopped in the USA.
