    Hara - Kiri: Death Of A Samurai

    When Bushido meets humanity. This is an incredible film, from its fantastic measured acting, the beautiful score by Ryuichi Sakamoto and a battle scene at the end which is incredible. This film is both moving and thought provoking 10 out of 10

    I have not seen the original but I enjoyed this a great deal.

    I just think he has been astonishing as a director, though yes, he's still a great actor.

    Perhaps it's just me, but I never expected him to make that leap, though he certainly did & bravo!
