Ah, Blackadder, another rather overrated 'British classic' that I can only take in small doses, largely because of the brilliant Rowan Atkinson! 'Queeny', on occasions, was also a giggle. But after you'd seen a few episodes, it was all rather 'samey'.
I loved Not the Nine O'Clock News, back in the 70s... We used to parody some of the sketches at school. Bet you hated that, too!

I acknowledge that TC is considered as one of our comedy 'greats' (and rightly so), but you're correct, his wasn't really my style of humour.
A bit too traditional and old-fashioned. Dave was the man, or Spike Milligan. I prefer 'edgier', satirical comedy. In that respect, I'm also a big fan of Alexei Sayle... His series called 'Stuff", from the late 80s/early 90s was great
