I see nobody has mentioned De Crapio again. I detest him. Just a Hollywood 'pretty boy'.

Well the Sweeney todd film was chronic.... like the pirates films; they have a certain something that sets them out as potential classics of the future, in their own way.
Forgot the actor, but that film Sniper is great as well. Its one of my favs of modern films

he certainly improved around Gangs of New York era IMO. think it was the first film I thought he did well in, but was helped a lot by Daniel Day-Lewis, who is another worthy of consideration of top actor or this era

Day -Lewis chews the scenery. Which is okay as he usually takes roles that require that - No Country For Old Men springs to mind. He does hold the screen well, though. As does Liam Neeson.

The correct answer is, of course, Jeff Bridges.

Prefer Kevin Spacey to Jeff Bridges. Both were in kpax. Liked Jeff in thunderbolt and lightfoot and in heavens gate too. A much maligned film. I thought it rather good if over long

Bogart was in some stinkers too, which are (correctly) forgotten. Same is true of Mitchum, Wayne, and just about every other 'classic' film star.

T & L is brilliant. KPAX was a lot about nothing. I've seen Heavens Gate but can't recall anything about it except it drags on. Cimino did some good films, Year of The Dragon and of course The Deerhunter is a masterpiece.
