Yeah it was earlier than that when we were watching, about 1966. And before each episode Batman would tell us "Batman cannot fly!" and Robin would punch his palm with his other fist as he replied "Holy broken bones Batman!" Because some of us really were that stupid.

Just read on Wikipedia that it aired between 1966 and 1968, for three seasons. Seasons 1 and 2 aired for 2 consecutive nights per week, with most of the stories occupying 2 episodes. Season 3 got one episode per week, after which the show was cancelled due to falling ratings.

    'Kojak'

A very young Christopher Walken is the baddie.

Thought I'd seen pretty much all of these back in the 70s and 80s, but I don't remember any of the episodes they've shown so far.

Kojak was massively popular in the 1970s, though there were concerns it was too violent. I didn't bother much with it at the time, preferring Starsky and Hutch which folloewed soon afterwards.

But in recent months it has been back on telly (forgive the pun) just before Minder, so I got to watch it more. I really like it now, decent storylines with heart, frequently funny, and Theo is pretty cool...

I used to watch it when I was very young because my father liked it but it was a bit slow for me.

I appreciate it more watching it now. There's quite a few where they don't solve the crime or crimes, or there's an ambiguous ending, or sad endings. I like that.

    'The A Team'

Tv show not the crap film. Must be an early episode as they have that bird knocking around with them.

Not proper telly but still better than modern rubbish. Just entertainment, no stupid 'messages' - other than if you're a bad person you're going to end up getting a good thumping and then off to prison.

I used to be a bit of an A Team fan. Complete hokum, but entertaining nonetheless, much in the same way as 'Knight Rider'.

(Don't remember any "bird knocking around with them" though. Maybe she was the the way you could engage their services.)

Watched part one of a two-parter Kojak on Thursday ('Summer of '69'), and looked forward to seeing how it worked out in part two. Unfortunately my stupid Sky box recorded it at 8am yesterday, completed with that 'signing dwarf' in the corner, looking like Kojak's own personal Lord Charles. So I won't get to find out how it ended, cos I cannot sit through an episode with that dwarf, it's too distracting

This was from series 5, which has a really crappy opening credits, so I'll give it a wide berth. There's something up with the SQ anyway - you can hear indoor conversations, but outdoors the traffic noise drowns out the dialogue.

I hate it when I tape stuff overnight and it has that signing bloke on it. They could at least warn you.

It's always something you really want to watch, too.

I wonder if deaf people would rather just have subtitles, he's got to be as distracting to them as he is to us.
