I watched that again the other day.

I suppose if they remade it then the present day Marty would have to go back to 1992

I don't think that the differences between 2022 and 1992 would be of the same magnitude as the difference between 1985 and 1955. No smartphones or flat-screen TVs I guess, otherwise not much has really changed that I can think of. The sequel was way off in its predictions of what 2015 would be like.
    Current Lash Up:

    TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > JM Labs Focal Electra 926.

Me too. The opening of the film is quite shocking - enough to put you off eating sausages for life. The "cattle market" is equally shocking.

Lee Marvin is always a good actor however, and I'll watch everything he is in. Certainly no "dick"!

he was a decent man, but his drinking got in the way of things often, and his attitude at times annoyed his fellow workers.

this from the professionals.. According to Richard Brooks, Burt Lancaster and Lee Marvin did not get along during filming due to Marvin's alcoholism, which was making him unreliable and difficult at the time, infuriating Lancaster. Brooks, who had directed Lancaster in Elmer Gantry (1960), felt the need to intervene because he feared Lancaster was going to "take Lee Marvin by the ass and throw him off that mountain".

Burt Lancaster was as tough as they came and rediculously strong apparently.

Back to the Future Part III, 1990. Robert Zemeckis again directs the third part ...

Clint Eastwood was asked for permission about his name being used for Marty in the film. He consented and was said to be tickled by the homage.
When Buford "Mad Dog" Tannen tried to lynch Marty, Michael J. Fox was accidentally hanged, rendering him unconscious for a short time. He records this in his autobiography "Lucky Man"

Predestination, 2014. It stars Ethan Hawke, Sarah Snook, and Noah Taylor, and is based on the 1959 short story " '—All You Zombies—' " by Robert A. Heinlein.

The picture of the Crosby Shoes building in the beginning of the movie is actually a picture of the exploded reactor number 4 from Chernobyl Power Plant which erupted on 26 April 1986.

Seen that a couple of times and enjoyed it. It keeps you thinking.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
