Default Hello from Yank in Japan.

I guess if I gotta post I gotta...

I am from Houston but am currently deployed with the Missile Defense Agency in
Northern Japan (Goshogowara). So I have a local system and one far removed so to speak.

Current system (in Japan) : Luxman L-48X Integrated Amp, Victor (JVC) QL55Y turntable, Tannoy MX3 speakers.
On Bench in Japan (actually right end of the dining table): Sherwood S-8000 IV for complete recap and refurbish.

Current system (Houston): Harmon Kardon TA-5000X receiver, Thorens TD-165 turntable, Altec (Iconic) 836 speakers. And many, many more…
And we don't want to talk about the bench...
Anyway, looking forward to lots of reading, information, and fun.

Hi there Sparky! So what's it like having access to the Japanese market - innovation and price as attractive as it seems from outside? And the music releases with extra tracks, better mastering, limited editions... do I sound jealous? Do I have cause to be
