Well you guys need to be trading with Barry & he'll fill you in
He asked me to box his CDs up a while ago as he was off gallivanting about for a bit
By the way Nick, the JR150 probably doesn't go quite as deep or as cleanly as the 149. I know a guy that had the 150s, pity he had no respect for hifi speakers... Before their demise they were very nice if a little peaky at about 70Hz. I have a feeling that the single driver in the 149 might be a cleaner option.
Loads of nice equipment there chap, nice den to My whole house is a den, it's just not tidy right now

I would definitely do one of those if I found one Jon! I don't think the JR149's need a subwoofer particularly, but a nice matched one wouldn't go wrong!
Interesting your thoughts on the 150 Mark. An issue with the crossover perhaps?
Thanks for your props about the Den. I have to keep it tidy, or it'd very quickly become Mrs Beechwoods' Den and we wouldn't want that happening
More an issue with volume requirements of 2 bass drivers over 1 in a single cabinet The 150s weren't twice the volume of the 149s so in consequence the bass resonance was lifted & there was a slight (very slight) hump in the response. They did make more volume though but not as cleanly. The 149s were slightly overdamped (total Q in cabinet less than 0.7) so they sounded cleaner & went deeper but with a lower ultimate volume level.
If you aren't interested in shaking the place i'd prefer the 149s
