Apart from being a cruel fascist, his so called economic policies will stuff the low and middle income turkeys that voted for him, and crash, first, the US economy; and second, the global economy. If he implements his proposed mass deportations, aside from the huge costs involved, he will starve the US economy of essential workers at a time that companies are facing major recruitment problems. Musk, Besoz and his other billionaire friends must be wetting themselves in excitement at the promised tax cuts for the super rich and the prospect of big government contracts. It looks almost certain that he will control both Congress and the Senate, which alongside his doctoring of the Supreme Court means that there are no limits to his power.

The fact that he is likely to have won the popular vote is even more unfathomable. I can only think that he has got KFC and MacDonalds to lace their excuse for food with some brain rotting chemicals. I wonder if the US electorate will experience voters remorse sooner than it took for the UK to recognise the long term catastrophe of a poorly implemented Brexit.

Anyone interested should look at the works of Robert Reich who clearly documents the huge increase in wealth and income inequalities since the 50s and 60s.

We had all this last time he got in and what happened? Nothing. He didn't even get his wall built let alone get Mexico to pay for it.

No idea what all the hysteria is about.

I'm guessing you're not a woman or someone who cares about a woman's right to choose? And you haven't noticed the groundwork that has been done to make Trump above the law?

    Oh well ...

Good guess on the woman bit. What the individual U.S states decide is their abortion law isn't really anything to do with me, given I don't live there or have any voting right.

Women get a much worse deal in plenty of other countries but then it would be 'racist' if we drew attention to that wouldn't it?

51% of Americans are women. I wonder what percentage of American women care about a woman's right to choose? And where were they all when it came to the vote? Maybe their fellas wouldn't let them because they had to stay home and get tea on the table or else.

God save America, but then I don't think God has anything to do with the concious (?) state of many americans.
The rethoric used in religion is far too narrow to my mind, where is the humanity to all men (and women)?

Perhaps they think Trump is the new messiah.
I love Hendrix for so many reasons. He was so much more than just a blues guitarist - he played damn well any kind of guitar he wanted. In fact I'm not sure if he even played the guitar - he played music. - Stevie Ray Vaughan

That issue's a lot more complex. Roe Vs Wade got overturned which meant it was possible for the individual states to enact their own laws. 13 of 50 states made it illegal.

Women have still have the 'right to choose' in most states and nothing prevents them from travelling to another state. And IMO the whole abortion issue is far from black and white - but my own moral position on it is of little interest to me let alone anyone else and I've zero interest in pushing it.

What other people decide is law or not in their states or countries is their business.

In case anyone gets me wrong, if I lived in the U.S the only way I'd vote for Trump is with a gun to my head. But having a reasonable knowledge of how the U.S political and judicial system works, and a good knowledge of history, I think the hysteria over another Trump term as President is both unwarranted and somewhat risible.

I wouldn't have voted for Harris, either.
