So I made a mistake in my original email to Sugden, wrong email address! Just called them and they said the waiting list at the moment is not long at all, just 4 or 5 ahead of me, so fingers crossed it won't be too expensive.

I was given a very similar looking A75 by my daughter a couple of years ago. It has been powered on 24/7 with no issues and drives mt recently-acquired MA R852MD speakers with ease. Always handy to have a back up Mike.
watched in my ebay, and he sent an offer of £116! Not sure whether I should just hold out with my headphone amp for now, thing is it's a bit of a pita to use as I'm always moving around!

Buy a fosi v3 and just keep it as a spare for times like this. I'm sure Sugden will look after you Mike.

If it were me I would go with Barry's offer with the Rega. That would be superior to the Arcam I think. But in any case a spare amp is a must-have.

I'm actually gonna try and get use to my headphone amp as its underused and it wasn't cheap, but Barry's offer was a good one, I had a Mira once but it didn't last long in my system, found it underwhelming, the brio is livelier. The suggie makes a good halfway house

Didn't wanna start a whole new thread, but since I started serious headphone listening again (after about a decade), I find myself wondering, does it matter if you wear them the wrong way around? Cos with these hd650s you can hardly see the bloody L or R on either side. the old HD600s usefully had the letters red, but I suppose some penny pincher had a great idea..........

The 650s are shaped so that you should put them on the right way round, naturally.
