I'm in, could bring the Ekta Mk2's.
I love Hendrix for so many reasons. He was so much more than just a blues guitarist - he played damn well any kind of guitar he wanted. In fact I'm not sure if he even played the guitar - he played music. - Stevie Ray Vaughan

My Alfa's currently in car hospital getting stuff done,
If she’s back for September (expecting so) I'd enjoy a drive down and a stay overnight somewhere.

Missed this aspect of stuff since Covid slapped it on the head.
    Also, would regret not going

Happy to put a bit of kit on the back seat, thinking my Dac and schmamcy external power supply.

Not here often but would make the effort...
I am assuming that we all chip in for the venue hire?
FWIW, off season, football clubs and other sports venues have space available. I work in the NHS and we can often book a local racecourse or football venue at very reasonable rates...

Hi Sandy - I looked at the football club but their rooms are all ballroom size. Nearest racecourse is too far.

North Staffs hotel looked like a good one but they are digging up the road outside for a 'remodelling' of the square that would take a month in any normal country but here it is not due for completion until 2026.

I'm still hoping to come up with something soon and you'd be very welcome.

I appreciate this might be leftfield, my local community in Bishops Castle https://bishopscastletowncouncil.gov.uk/public-hall/
Which is a lovely space, locally there's very good beer and pubs, plus some that do live music...

I'm trying to get somewhere with food, booze and accommodation all under one roof, but I guess it's all close by anyway in a small town like that? And the hire is cheap!

Back in the early 90s I used to go out with a girl who lived near Church Stoke, just up the road from you. Beautiful part of the world.
