Default 12V Inverter for audio use?

I've often wondered whether a 12VDC power inverter would be beneficial for audio use?

There seem to be a number of reasonably low cost high-wattage units these days which (re)generate pure AC sine waves for their 240V outputs, which would obviously mean the supply to amps and other equipment is fully isolated from the regular mains, with a theoretical perfect AC waveform free from any mains based interference etc. Obviously running time would be limited by the power drain on the audio equipment and the 12V supply, but....

    What does the panel think?

Where are you going to get your 12V from?

I was looking at a Cyberpower Pure Sine UPS, which regenerates mains. It has the advantage that you just plug it into the wall.

I was just thinking of a car battery? Perhaps make a small wooden box for it so it didn't look too much like.... A car battery!

But am now investigating that UPS.
