    Well spotted Steve.

Gosh, was the fall of the Berlin wall really 34 years ago?

I know, that's almost two generations. In 1990 my daughter was still pre-school. This year her son is school-leaving age. Why is it that childhood seems to be so long, while adulthood is increasingly fleeting? Should be the other way round.

I didn't find out about it until Christmas when I was round at someone's house who had a telly.

I assume you mean Christmas 1990 and not Christmas just gone.

So you may not be aware that they found Trevor Jordache's body two years after it went under the patio, unless your mate with the telly kept you updated

That was a couple of years later? By then I had a girlfriend who owned a black and white portable (which I hooked up to the hi-fi via the headphone socket ofc) so Brookie was back on the menu.

"What, another night in? Sometimes I think you only want me for my black and white telly... and why do you ask me to pause it every time Lindsey Corkhill bends over? You know that technology hasn't arrived yet".

And you're right, the Trevor Jordache thing was mid-nineties.

I used to watch Brookie since it helped with homesickness. Which she found quite amusing. She was posh and didn't really approve of watching telly. Although she did get into Brookie even though it was past its best by then.

I think that the whole Jordache thing was about 1991/1992. But might be wrong.

I got her into 'Prisoner: Cell Block H' too
