seems they are not at cranage otherwise you could have heard some perhaps
ou might slip, you might slide, you might
Stumble and fall by the road side
But don't you ever let nobody drag your spirit down
Remember you're walking up to heaven

Don't let nobody turn you around
… Walk with the rich, walk with the poor
Learn from everyone, that's what life is for
And don't you let nobody drag your spirit down

They're a tough load, I'm not sure your amplifier will get the best out of them.

Also look like they will have a bright/toppy balance but that will depend on the room too.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

At the moment on hold, in case we decide to move house. Looked at another property this morning which was lovely, apart from where to site the hifi , the only possible place would be to take over the dining part of the the open plan kitchen diner.

No idea. The measurements in that mag are seriously lacking in many respects, presumably to save space for the extensive cut and paste direct from the manufacturer's brochure and some rubbish about 'captivating highs.'

Not heard any models in the current range but have a couple of pairs of the active range they did from the late 90's and have been very impressed with them. So if you do go for the Founders, i'd be very interested in your impressions.
I haven't seen many people with Paradigm speakers, which surprises me as they offer very good value for money, all parts are made in-house and have extensive facilities for research etc.

Looks like the tweeter is set too high, as with many modern speakers. The following peaks and troughs are tweeter resonances or 'captivating highs'.
