as you may know Fawlty towers is due to be resurected , they acutually built a sheltered housing complex on the site named after manuel . Its Sachs Lodge , got my MIL assessed there last year

apparently they got the idea when the monty python cast stayed there and he was the rudest hotel owner ever !! quite a character it seems

fawlty towers was, in its day one of the great series of my time; any time, that stopped rightly after 12 episodes aprox?? and it had been done, up to that point, without much loss in quality.(its always sad to see series going long past their best).
i for one wont be watching the 'redux' if thats the right name for it. best remembering it for its own original glory.

I agree, it's a standalone classic. Any attempt to 'bring it back' will be about as funny as having to explain a joke. I'm surprised the Americans haven't had a go before now.

There can't be many more anagrams of 'Fawlty Towers' left to put on the signpost at the introduction. My favourite was 'Flowery Twats'.

Used to live in the St Mary's Church area - 2014-2021. Nice spot. I do miss Torquay sometimes.
