Just above 0C and foggy. Feels bitter, as freezing fog always does.

Oh my god! There's nothing wrong with the bidet is there?

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

Heavy frost overnight. Now it is cold and foggy. I have a dental appointment later this morning; but I will use public transport.

My mate had the TL-1000R. It was quite brisk!

At the time I was zipping around on a rather strange Yam SZR-660 (TZR-250 with XTZ-660 engine squeezed in). Nothing below 4000rpm and nothing above 7000rpm, punchy enough 'in the zone' though and handled really well. Pretty rare bike.

Had to look that one up. Built in Italy by their Yamaha importer Belgarda, and they only produced 2000. So yeah, won't be many about. Decent performance without costing an arm and a leg by the looks of it.

Just above freezing, but the sun's out and plenty of blue sky. Just as well, as I'll be putting my woodwork hat on today. Three of our new doors are dragging quite badly on the newly fitted carpet, and the joiner has let us down twice. So sod him, I'll do it meself.
