Default For Sale Meridian 206B cd player Boxed with instructions, and transit screw

    Meridian 206B

Owned since new, not used a great deal, proberbly an unwise purchase at the time, and indeed never really made full use of this.

    Working as tested this morning

Faults found are that the feet are a little sticky (common) and the display does not always show the bright characters (also common)

Have the orignal packing, transit screw and instructions - currently no remote, mislaid but "somewhere"

I think this is still used by Martin Collom, of HiFi Critic, as his reference CD player

A high quality cd player for £350 and another tenner contribution to the postage

    Thanks for looking

I had the 200 transport and 203 dac both were excellent and the transport stayed in my system for some time. A friend has the 203 which is still working perfectly and although he has modified it slightly over the years it will stand its ground with modern units costing 4 figures. A great buy for someone and in rare condition and use too !

    Thanks.

Yes indeed a bit of a find for someone, and the sound quality is still as good as sensible priced cd players today.

The transport mechanism is a demonstration how cd drawers should run.

Sounds as though I am talking myself in keeping, bur I must not weaken and keep for nostalgic reasons, I just have not used this player for some time, and that will not change despite my enthusiasm for the Meridian. Also I realise how much this cost in the 1991 when I purchased new from a long since Audio shop.

A bargain for the sound quality.
