Default Wanted : Monster Vintage Receiver or Amp

    Hello everyone.
Having tried out most varieties of valve and solid state amps including NCores etc, I would like to give a vintage amplifier or receiver a try. Needs to be a monster over 100 watts preferably from the usual suspects Sansui, Pioneer, Marantz, Yamaha etc. WHY

I am looking for the a valve like sweet rich palpable sound with the hassle free power that comes with solid state. Something better than Class A. Aren’t we all?
A 15W Sansui vintage amp suggests that this could be feasible with vintage gear.

I have a Pioneer SA7800 late 70’s early 80’s sounds almost as good as my Primaluna Evo400 which surprised me immensely, you’re welcome to pop over and have a listen, I’m about 30 minutes away from you

I've seen and heard Mike's Pioneer amp - it's a belter, and really looks the vintage part. Mint casework too

Then again, if it doesn't have to be Japanese, Macca's Krell definitely could be termed 'monster' and is probably all the amp you would ever need.
