David Crosby has died at the age of 81. A huge and sad loss to music. He, Stephen Stills, Graham Nash and Neil Young created some remarkable and wonderful music together.

Another sad loss, not been a great start to the year.

Oh my god! There's nothing wrong with the bidet is there?
“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".
“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”
"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”
“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

I'm Mike.
This is worth a read, and if you haven't seen the recent documentary about him it's well worth a watch too.
“David Crosby: Remember My Name,” narrated and produced by Cameron Crowe.

Yes, sad news. Many of the artists who were formative in my musical education are passing away. Crosby leaves an enormous musical legacy.
RIP Dave

Yes, I watched the Documentary a while back and enjoyed it. Crosby still came across as a rebel who didn't care what folk thought of him. Good for him!
That article is interesting too, don't think I really learned anything much I wasn't familiar with already, worth a read though.
Crosby and CSNY influenced me hugely and always remained in my regular music plays.
I'm not often really touched by musician losses, but this is different to me and a major moment.
Everybody should have a copy of 'Deja vu' by CSNY, if only for the ultimate rebel anthem of the time Almost Cut My Hair, with Crosby singing.
For anybody who doesn't know it, here's a YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Lk2...ManuKebabCosta
(the video embed code doesn't seem to be available ----- maybe a copyright thing)
I shall give the album a spin later.
