    Default Veneering my Yamaha CT-7000

Now I know that some of you will be cursing me FOR WHAT I HAVE DONE!
But really the case on this beauty deserved better , the corners were dented and a big chunk on one corner, plus it wasn’t the nicest I’ve seen .
So I’m off sick today with a painful lower back pain that’s progressively gotten worse since last Wednesday,it only hurts when sitting down ( so I need to stay stood up ) so I thought I need to keep busy and came up with the idea of sorting out the Yammie ( it’s really been bugging me )
I started at about 09:30 , doctors at 11 and case 95% finished by 11:40, and here it is ….
Just a few more coats of Danish oil.
The purpose of this post is to hopefully show how simple a job it is , and it’s very rewarding.

The result looks good but I'm not really sure what you did?

Filled in the chips and added new veneer over the top of the old?

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

It did and well worth restoring classics like this, they aren't making any more of them. Nowadays it's all plastic-fantastic or over-styled bling.

Looks great Andy, like brand new.
I love Hendrix for so many reasons. He was so much more than just a blues guitarist - he played damn well any kind of guitar he wanted. In fact I'm not sure if he even played the guitar - he played music. - Stevie Ray Vaughan
