Default The HiFi Wigwam Show 2023 is announced

I am delighted that I can confirm to any of those interested that the Wam Show for this year has been announced and confirmed details can be seen on the link below . It is scheduled for Sunday 29th October close to Barnsley . I think all those that attended the last show 2022 in Stoke had hoped that we could go back and make that a long term venue , but the UK Gov had other ideas and have taken over the hotel for Asylum Seekers . A long hard search was then again on the the Show Team and they have found and booked a new venue . This show is very different to all other Shows in that there will be little if any selling going on apart from perhaps Vinyl . Most of the rooms will be taken up by people like me using a home system often rather stranger than most but hopefully sounding really good . Put the details in your diaries and if you can come and listen to some great music (remember to bring your own ) on some great systems . The form for wanting a room to exhibit is also now open and anyone who wants to can apply , no financial commitment at this time . Prices are still to be set but given the current speed of progress I would imagine it would be close to the end of Jan and things will be clear.

Remember you're walking up to heaven

Don't let nobody turn you around

You're right Paul, it has moved further north, but it is still closer to the south east than say, Edinburgh or Glasgow. So all things considered, has probably never been more central. And may be good news for those living in the far north and Scotland, who to be fair, don't have a lot going on in the way of audio shows.

Apart from NEBO, the most fun you can have with your trousers on

It used to be in Lancashire, but we evicted it for not paying its rent.

Fair enough. Would there ever be the likelihood of two shows in the year to cater for more people,

I imagine organising the Wam show is only marginally easier than herding cats. To do it twice a year would be hell of an undertaking. If you're keen to attend but feel Barnsley is too far to be arsed, make it part of a weekend away. Plenty of other things to see and do in Yorkshire...
