    Default Radford STA 100 Monoblocks

Your chance to own a very unique pair of Radford SRTA 100 monoblocks. these beauties pump out 100 watts a channel and will drive pretty much anything. These are signature amps with a lot of foo inside including F and T and Audyn true copper caps. They are point to point wired and the transformers are specced to take KT150s or KT120s, both of which thrive off the high HT of 630v and high screen voltage. The KT120s sound much better to my ears, suiting the output transformers better.

So how do they sound? I am fortunate enough to own a pair of Ming Da Cavatina 3008 805 monoblocks and my wife has a pair of Mastersound 845 monoblocks and this amp shows both of these a clean pair of heels. It’s got effortless scale and majesty, and sounds very sweet across the whole frequency range. The transformers were supplied through Radford Revival by the original Radford transformer supplier. The output transformers are rated at 100 watts continuous output. Now here’s a pair of amps that will drive any Tannoys! £4,000 collection only from London.

Are these "Radford STA100 monoblocks" clones? The original STA100 (which was a two-channel amplifier) looked like this:

Regardless of the origin, if you are asking for more than £250, we need large full-size photographs.

Yes I was more than a bit confused when I saw the photos, definitely not in Redford chassis and from the description only the transformers are Redford, not disputing the quality but if they aren’t made by Radford best not advertise them as such

It's a pair of monoblocks built around the Radford STA100 circuit. Clone is probably a more accurate description.
