Hey mate I only put the pic of the GL75 up to get you going!

I think it was a bad decision by the industry to get rid of tone controls as folk have had to buy and swap sooo much gear to get the bass or treble or clarity they are looking for.

Can you believe it that some folk actually use cables to increase treble top end performance and gain clarity in their system.

    hahaha....ya dirty dog

Yup. I have cables here to do lotsa things with my system. Maybe a slight adjustment with my tone controls will have the desired effect. Watch this space

Thanks James, I thought that might be the case. I suppose I could either swap between inputs as required (a faff) or some kind of input selector (more boxes)

I'm sure the best solution would come from experiments with room treatment as you've outlined earlier, unfortunately I'd be working against a weirdly shaped room and a missus with very fixed views about room decor. Oh well, new speakers it is then
I just dropped in, to see what condition my condition was in

T/T: Inspire Monarch, X200 tonearm, Ortofon Quintet Blue. Phono: Project Tube Box CD: Marantz CD6006 (UK Edition); Amp: Musical Fidelity A5 Integrated.
Speakers: Zu Omen Def, REL T9i subwoofer. Cables: Atlas Equator interconnects, Atlas Hyper 3.0 speaker cables

    T'other system:
Echo Dot, Amptastic Mini One,Arcam A75 integrated, Celestion 5's, BK XLS-200 DF

    A/V:
LG 55" OLED, Panasonic Blu Ray, Sony a/v amp, MA Radius speakers, REL Storm sub

Forget the past, it's gone. And don't worry about the future, it doesn't exist. There is only NOW.

Default A walk from my house

Lovely morning here so decided to take a walk out from my home into the countryside and back. Captured a few photos on the way.
