The room acoustics had taken a back seat recently as I have been contemplating building more panels incorporating some art work rather than plain material. This has meant me looking for suitable material that incorporates Art work and fits with the Mid Century Modern design of the listening room.

At last I have found just the right material I need to build my first Art Acoustic panel which will be a fair bit larger than the others I have manufactured. Need to build a bespoke frame first so off to Wickes for some timber tomorrow. Material may take a while to arrive as unfortunately its coming from USA. Found a fantastic site specialising in material that has just the right period design so may be purchasing more in the future.

Excited about this next panel. If I can pull it off it will allow me to turn out as many "approved" panels as I need and indeed I might produce some Art work for other parts of the house. Material arrives mid March so hopefully I will have something to hang up fairly soon.

some ideas here for the art https://www.wayfair.co.uk/World-Mena...LZDX5506.html?

Don't know if any of it is to your taste but I quite like the Japanese-style designs. I think something like that would go with the rest of your room.

That reminds me, I have three more amps 'upstairs' that I had forgotten about:

1 pair of Quad 50E monoblock amplifier

    1 Quad 303

1 Quad 303K (a 303 but with the input, output and mains connectors replaced with XLR types)

    So 13 in total.

Yes I like a fair bit of Japanese design too but mine will be Mid century modern which is quite different.

I was all set to pop out to Wickes to obtain materials for next panel when I noticed someone selling exactly what I was going to build at half price which was £10.
Couldn't get the wood and brackets etc I needed to build one at that price so that has saved all the me a job.

How about something more relaxing, like this:

And you can have it big enough to cover an entire wall.

I like that. I think it's a replica of the flag they were flying when they bombed Pearl Harbour.

It's also a replica of my bum the morning after my chicken madras.

I quite like the design, I might get a smaller one if I'm allowed They do various sizes, and cost from about a tenner to about £25 for the 3 metre jobbie. I just google images Japanese anime art.
