    I'm Robert.

    Default WTD Phono stage.

Looking for a Phono stage. Can be Mm or MC or Mm/MC combined.
Maybe Tron 7. BAT or similar hi end. Age is not so important as condition.
Looking around £2000 or more for right stage.
    WHYG.
    Regards Robert.

Worrasf has just posted a Vivant for sale. MC and MM.

I would choose that over a Tron 7, the Tron Convergence is better than the 7.
I love Hendrix for so many reasons. He was so much more than just a blues guitarist - he played damn well any kind of guitar he wanted. In fact I'm not sure if he even played the guitar - he played music. - Stevie Ray Vaughan

I would also contact Bigman over at AudioAddicts, and see if he has a BB3 he could lend you.
I love mine, and would probably have to spend considerably more to better it.

    Hi Robert.
Mark of Ming Da UK builds phono stages under his own make. They are excellent.

“Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio”

The LFD MMC is probably the best SS Phono Stage you could get for that sort of money, although it needs careful positioning and need to use with good interconnects, switching from MM to MC requires solder or de-soldering of two tracks on the PC board, not hard to do but might put some off. If you went for it then might be an idea to get the dealer to set it to the preference wanted and ask for a warranty.
Listening is the act of aural discrimination and dissemination of sound, and accepting you get it wrong sometimes.

Analog Inputs: Pro-Ject Signature 10 TT & arm, Benz Micro LP-S, Michel Cusis MC, Goldring 2500 and Ortofon Rondo Blue cartridges, Hitachi FT5500 mk2 Tuner

I think I am nearing audio nirvana, but don’t tell anyone.

Gain is a little low on the LFD, so more suitable for carts with a higher output of 0.5mV or more.
