“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Glad it's all worked out for the best. Well done!

B&O make some great gear - both in sound and looks. Often dismissed by the ignorant as "Habitat Hi-Fi", those that take the trouble to listen to their products know they sound good as well. I have several of their cartridges as well as a tuner.

I also have another pair of little b&o’s that I’ve yet to demo , looking forward to that now too .
She’s now singing along and just commented on how good they sound.

So guys I’m now thinking of tinkering with the internals of these over the Christmas break .
They were refurbished by B&O back in 2010 .
I’m thinking of fitting banana post bindings and maybe upgrading the internal wiring for some decent speaker cable.
Maybe bypass the protection circuit ( not sure how that’s done )
    What do you think?
    Any recommendations?

no leave them original. That stuff makes no difference anyway or B&O would have done it from the start.
    Current Lash Up:

    TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > JM Labs Focal Electra 926.

I think opinion is divided. Up to you Andy but if I was keeping them I'd do it. Not straight away I'd live with them a bit and see if I needed to make them better, but the itch usually appears.
