Default EMI 92390 - Free Score

    Hi All

Picked up these EMI's with a B&O 7002 and Beomaster 900M yesterday these little EMI 92390 are damn impressive

The Beomaster is 6 watt drove them OK swapped out for the Nytech 252 , Thorens TD 125 Turntable , SME 3009 with Shure V15 II

On The platter is Mica Paris - So Good - 1988

Less is more been told not to feed them to much power which i can see why does anyone know the year of production?

At a guess, somewhere between 1965 and 1972. Yours will have tweeters across the front, as there is a filter attached. Could be a single 3 inch paper coned unit or a pair of 2 inch plastic coned tweeters.

Were there different magnet versions as the ones I've seen in B&W had much bigger ones?

I don't think these are AlNiCo, they might be lower wattage but correct me if I'm wrong.

They are the very small ceramic magnet type for use in sealed boxes, the cones will almost certainly have non-doped integral pleated paper surrounds. I've probably got the power rating somewhere.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

They last forever as long as you don't put too much juice through them.

I did have a cure for rubbing coils written years ago and the images are long gone but if you can understand it, it's worth a bash!
