    Default Luxman 505ux II

I decided to go back to Naim, miss my old Supernait2. I fancy a Supernait3. So my Luxman is up for sale. Pretty much as new with remote and original box. Sounds great and it has those VU meters. This is a UK model not a Japanese one. Happy to demo if you fancy a listen. I'm in Kings Lynn, Norfolk. PM me if you'd like some pics.
£2,500. I will travel up to an hour or so if you'd like to meet up for delivery. Probably safer than a courier.

Sorry for the dark images, my back isn't what it was and its a miserable day out there.

Oh my god! There's nothing wrong with the bidet is there?

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Those luminous VU meters are much better than black powder coating. What do you miss about the Naim?

I think the Naim has a bit more impact, particularly in the lower registers. I am 'thinking' about adding a musical sub to regain some of that character. I've read that the Rel t5x or t7x could do the job. If that's the case, I'd keep the Luxman as it is very good. And, I do prefer the looks of the Luxman.

I have a shot at a Supernait 3, so I'm reducing the Luxman to £2,200 which is an absolute steal. Grab a seasonal bargain.

Here are a couple more images. Got fed up waiting for a sunny day, so had to take the amp out of the rack. I forgot how heavy this beast is! Hopefully, it's obvious that this is in immaculate condition.
