As your aware from my signature I have been using for the last 5 years a pair of Dali Zensor 3s, they were a upgrade from my original Wharfedale 9s also on stands. The Dalis have been brilliant speakers, wide sound stage and having a above average size 7" woofer not lacking in the base department. With Christmas coming I fancied a pair of floor standers with a tweeter, mid and low drivers, I considered a pair of Dali's again but the 7s are a bit big for the location on the other side of the TV. I came upon a email from Sevenoaks Sound and Vision in their Black Friday early sales, they were selling Q Acoustic Concept 40s at £499 new! Checked a few other sellers Peter Tyson and Richer Sounds and they were both £999. After lots of reading reviews and watching YouTube videos a pair were ordered up last Thursday.

The order was deliver yesterday by DPD on time and undamaged, I saw the driver puffing up the drive and found out why, they are 21kgs each. I assembled up the rear support glass leg with the floor spikes on, the front 2 were already fitted to the front speaker base. I have to say the finish in gloss piano black is superb and very well made.

After a quick 1hr test before tea and straight out the box I was undecided if they were a upgrade or not? Playing some Andre Rieu classics they sounded very muddled if that makes sense? Today I have put another 5 hrs on them and replaying the same music I can say they are opening up and showing that they were indeed a upgrade from the Dali Zensor 3s, I look forward to putting another 5 hours on them tomorrow.

Anyone here got or had the same speakers ?
