For the first time since I moved, I decided to connect my MacBook Pro 10-core and DSD box to my DAC and have a listen. On the MacBook I have around 390 folders of artists, but within each are anything up to 30 albums, so quite a bit of music - all ripped at 16/44.1 or above.

After a good sweep through of the folders, I suddenly remembered how much I love music. I've now settled on the bizarre and juicy 'The Ambient Collection' by The Art Of Noise (rather befitting for this forum).

Even my modest system sounds wonderful. Certainly in comparison to the crappy Alexa speaker that attempts to play music in the kitchen, which frankly is a sodding insult to the word 'speaker'.

That's my evening set. The Seduction Of Claude Debussy follows later.
