One of the members of a fishing syndicate that I belong to has recently been found dead in his Bivvy ( tent ) , he’d had his cooker/heater on overnight without any ventilation.

There was a case a few years ago of campers taking the hot embers of a disposable bbq into a tent to keep warm resulting in loss of life.
