    Default HiFi Wigwam Show 2023

Update on the WAM Show, the hotel they used this year and were planning to use next year has been ear marked for use by the home office for asylum seekers, https://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/news...-hotel-7668882

If this is the case then a spring WAM show is unlikely in my opinion unless they have a plan B?

The council cited concerns about extremism. At least the Wam show was not extreme. A bit bonkers maybe

Why don't you combine the two: accommodate the asylum seekers and compare and contrast their audio systems? The choice of music with which to demonstrate them would be interesting.

Suela Braverman could be one of the judges - the winner gets an all-expenses paid trip to Rwanda (unfortunately one-way only).

A typical Syrian audio system, yesterday. Looks a lot like a Pure DAB radio I had years ago. If this is the expected standard, I doubt anyone will be going to Rwanda. But I'm sure there will be worse places than a hotel in Stoke in the depths of winter... just give me a minute to think.

Once they've had a winter in Stoke in that draughty old hotel they'll be fighting to get on the plane to sunny Rwanda. Maybe that's the plan all along?

Yes that thought occurred to me too. Warm sunshine, and probably better WiFi. Not sure if Rwanda has Subway though.

No Subways in Rwanda - https://restaurants.subway.com/

You probably can't get oatcakes there either. But they do have a KFC so all is not lost.

I don't know what all the fuss is about, I'd stay there.
