Feeling a bit cooler this evening. Mrs. P sat there with a 'throw' over her legs, for the first time since about March. She'd better get used to it - I told her the heating's not going on till January, and she thinks I'm joking.

There will be an upside: her son (The Mollusc) cannot tolerate temperatures above 21C or less than 19C. Which means he slobs around either wrapped in blankets, or sweating in his underwear which is worse. So I'm expecting fewer visits this winter

Not so bad in the middle of a Bank Holiday, it's the start and end of the weekend where the roads are really bad. Unless you're fortunate enough to live in a destination, in which case you're screwed.

Same here. Went out for a pub lunch yesterday, and the place was very quiet. But that may be because we were the last people to know their food is shite. At least we didn't need the motorway to get back (main route from Lake District), which was getting busy.

9C this morning, can't remember the last time I saw single figures here.

Won't be long before it's time to wear a sweatshirt instead of a teeshirt and put the summer sandals away for dog walking duties.
