Been warm and sunny all day here, about 22C. Got finished a bit earlier, so decided an on-the-way-home cold beer was a good idea, especially as it wasn't my turn to get them in

Been sunny all day here but the wind is a bit strong. Cooler tomorrow and then gets steadily worse into the weekend. No rain forecast though.

It's been unbearably humid today. Had all the windows open for some throughput of air, but still felt like a bit of limp lettuce.

Not sure about today's weather. Could be damp - visibility not so good right now and I can see clouds coming down the mountains. Is it going to rain? Maybe - but not certain, but not raining here now.

Forecast has high temperature later at 15C.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Bit of Balsamic vinegar, that should perk it up. Might sting a bit though.

Nah! - a bottle of cold lager (Beck's 'Vier') was all it took.

15C. Feels fresh and pleasant, but no doubt it will get hot and clammy again later.
