    Listened to it again, and I do like it. I would be interested in hearing more of her; I don't find the "phony" American accent annoying.

    Apropos her looks - sorry, I'm afraid I have real dislike of facial piercings (and tattoos), so I wouldn't want to see her perform 'live' (not that I'm likely to do).

    Patti Smith only did one good album though.

    Hmm. The fake vibrato is an affectation I've always found annoying since American soul singers adopted it generations ago, it's standard karaoke fare now! Natural vibrato is another thing entirely and often heard from opera singers.
    It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
