Hi
Any help here.
What is the first pre amp Glenn Croft produced?
Was there a second partnership who died?
Any options? Picture?

Glen Groft's designs go back some thirty years. The early history is not well recorded, so it is almost impossible to state what was the first preamp Glen Croft designed. Croft doesn't give interviews, either to magazines or over the phone. He is a passionate follower of cricket, so during the cricket season his design and construction work will take a 'back seat'.
The nearest to a history of Glen Croft's electronics I can find, is this: https://www.6moons.com/audioreviews/croft/croft.html.
Trust it is of some help.

This was my go-to website when I bought a super micro

I think Glenns first preamp was the Croft Micro which retailed at about £125? I bought this back in 1985 and it was amazing value for money and sounded great with my Quad 405 Mk2. His next preamp was the Croft Super Micro and then a Super Micro A. I think there was also a Mega Micro. After that I think the Epoch preamp was next followed by the Vitale and Vitale SC. Finally there was the Charisma and Charisma X.

There's links to more sites at the bottom of my link, including I think a review of that first Micro by Martin Colloms

First pre was the Super Micro, though it wasn't called that, in the horrid cream and brown case. Second was the Micro which sold in huge quantities.
He never had a partner in the 45 or so years I have known him. He had a couple of 'distributors' who did him no favours, which I can't go into here.
